College takes over operation of fitness center

 

  At their May 30 meeting, Feather River College trustees approved a new Memorandum of Understanding and lease agreement with the FRC Foundation that will allow the college to take over operation of the Feather River Fitness and Recreation facility at 336 Crescent St. in Quincy.

Trail Daze set for June 5

Many hands make light work, and when you’re building trails with other fun people while looking forward to a barbecue and party afterwards, it hardly even seems like work.

This Saturday, June 5, the Sierra Buttes Trail Stewardship is hosting the Lost Sierra Trail Daze, which will be based out of Graeagle and feature five different projects.

School Superintendent proposes innovative academy

    In a community meeting held at Portola High School library May 26, Plumas Unified School District Superintendent Glenn Harris presented his proposal for a small, innovative academy type program within the high school. The program promises to give underserved students an array of choices currently unavailable.
