Feather River softball advances to Super Regionals

   5/5/2010 - Seeded 10th in this year’s regional playoffs, the Feather River College softball team traveled to seventh-seeded Ohlone College last weekend and won in two games, 10-5 and 7-6.   

This advances FRC to the Super Regional Tournament at Sacramento City College this Friday through Sunday, May 7-9. The four-team, double-elimination tournament will determine who goes to the California State Finals.

5/5/2010 - As late as Thursday, skeptics were hardly convinced the eight inches of snow that blanketed the Plumas Pines Golf Course in Blairsden Tuesday and Wednesday would melt in time for the Quincy Rotary Club Dyrr Memorial Golf Tournament Saturday, May 1.

 The Quincy High School tennis team hosted its 32nd annual Quincy Invitational last Friday and Saturday, April 23-24.

  The eight-team tournament featured more than 60 players from as far away as Etna and West Sacramento.

Golden Eagles win fourth straight title

 The Feather River College baseball team won its fourth consecutive Golden Valley Conference championship after sweeping Lassen College and College of the Redwoods April 16-18.  

 The Golden Eagles went on to sweep Butte College Friday and Saturday, April 23-24. This improved FRC to 30-4 on the season and 22-1 in conference.

Feather River softball team wins co-championship

    The Feather River College softball team tied for first place in the Golden Valley Conference with College of the Siskiyous, after each team finished the regular season with league records of 15-5.  

After a tie breaker scenario, FRC is the top seeded team from the Golden Valley Conference going into this year’s playoffs, but as far as conference is concerned, FRC and Siskiyous are co-champions.
