FRC sophomore Kelly Hernandez pursues a loose ball. Hernandez scored 25 points and grabbed 11 rebounds against Ohlone College.
The Feather River College women’s basketball team faced two tough teams at the Santa Rosa tournament earlier this month, when the Golden Eagles lost to City College of San Francisco, the No. 2 team in the north, and Ohlone College, the No. 4 team in the north.
In their opener against City College of San Francisco, the Golden Eagles lost 64-56, after a night of poor free-throw shooting which may have cost them the win.
“We came out with a ton of fight and intensity, and it was a very fun and exciting game,” said FRC coach Haley White.
Feather River trailed by three points with two minutes remaining in the game, but in the end the Lady Eagles couldn’t get the ball to bounce their way.
