He completed the necessary courses and is now certified by the Housing Inspection Foundation to do the home inspections required by many lenders. Sean determines what condition the house is in, not the value, as explained in an easy-to-read report complete with photographs. quincy video store closing

All the Best Video will close its doors for good no later than Aug. 31, said owner Dan Jenks. Shoppers will have to go elsewhere to rent videos and DVDs, as Quincy’s only video store sells off its stock and vacates the site. Dan said he had 24 video stores scattered throughout California up until a couple years ago. Since then he has closed 19 of them as he prepares to retire. He lived in Quincy as a child, before moving to Chico when he was 14 years old. He said that the video stores have been a good business and he has done well by them. “I’ve had a good run,” he said.

lots of growth in first decade

Several milestones were accomplished this month for the Flanigan-Leavitt Insurance Agency. The agency has been operating for 10 years in Quincy and Susanville and opened a Reno location six years ago. Murray started the family business in 1883 in Greenville with continuous operations for 130 years. The Quincy office is housed in the 110-year-old Plumas County Bank building. Hats off to Mike and Valerie for the investment they’ve made in upgrading and maintaining this historic landmark in downtown Quincy. “We have come to know and love the communities and clients that we serve. And being part of the Leavitt Group, providing us with so many carrier choices, makes a big difference too. For Mike and I, whether it be clients, carriers or co-workers — it is all about the relationship,” commented Valerie.
