BANK CELEBRATES THE SEASON

       Plumas Bank is celebrating the holidays with the community by hosting holiday mixers on Thursday, Dec. 10, from 5:30–7 p.m. at both its Chester and Susanville offices. If your social calendar is already booked, you can enjoy refreshments when you do your everyday banking at the Greenville or Quincy offices Tuesday through Thursday, Dec. 15,-17. The Portola branch is having its customer appreciation days Dec. 23-24. By the way, be sure to congratulate the bank as they celebrate 29 years of community banking this month!

CHAMBER MIXER TUESDAY
    The Eastern Plumas Chamber of Commerce is having its annual holiday mixer Tuesday, Dec. 8, from 5:30-7 p.m. It’ll be at the Mohawk Community Center in Blairsden and is co-hosted by the Mohawk Community Resource Center.

Free electronic waste disposal

This Saturday, Nov. 26, you can get rid of any unwanted computers, monitors, televisions and other electronic devices for free by taking them to Feather River Disposal’s transfer sites in Quincy, Greenville and Chester between 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Also, make a note that beginning Dec. 1, and continuing until Mar. 31, all transfer sites will only be open Friday through Monday from 9-4.

NEW MANAGER AT BEST WESTERN
    Former Roseville resident Mannie Lucido has been named manager of Best Western Rose Quartz Inn and the Chester Manor Motel. He brings 25 years experience in hotel management and said he is looking forward to working with the staff to make sure their guests not only enjoy their stay but will also want to return. One of the property’s owners, Chuck Van Paemel, said they are glad to have Mannie and the experience he brings to their Chester facilities.

BECKMAN EARNS CERTIFICATION
Plumas Bank’s Dorine Beckman, assistant vice president and regional commercial loan officer, has earned the title of certified commercial lender through the California Bankers Association.  She attended a six-month, comprehensive program and passed an extensive exam to earn the certification. Dorine has been with Plumas Bank more than 22 years. California Bankers Association is one of the largest state banking trade associations and represents more than 200 members.
