Separate sealed Bids for the construction of the 2012 Wastewater Collection System Rehabilitation Project consisting of approximately 12,000 LF of 6-inch thru 12-inch sewer mains, 3,800 LF of lateral replacement, approximately 500 individual SS lateral cleanout installations, and replumbing and relocating laterals for about 11 homes, will be received at Quincy Community Services District, located at 900 Spanish Creek Road, Quincy, CA 95971, until 3 p.m., May 16, 2012, and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud.

A non-mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at 1:30 p.m., on May 1, 2012, at the Quincy CSD office, located at 900 Spanish Creek Road, Quincy, CA 95971. Representatives of the Owner and Engineer will be present to discuss the project. The Owner and Engineer will not be taking Bidders to all the sites. The Bidders should visit the appropriate project sites prior to the pre-bid meeting.
Copies of the Contract Documents may be obtained at the office of: PACE Engineering located at 1730 South Street, Redding, CA 96001, upon payment of $75 for each set (non-refundable).

Bidders are notified that financing for this project is provided pursuant to the Consolidated Farm and Rural Development Act (7 U.S.C. Section 1921 et seq.) and that as allowed in Public Contract Code Section 22300, this contract does not provide for substitution of securities for any monies withheld by the Owner to ensure performance under this contract. Bidders are further notified that this contract does not permit retainage to be placed in escrow nor to be invested for the benefit of the contractor.
Prospective Bidders shall be licensed Contractors in the State of California and shall be skilled and regularly engaged in the general class or type of work called for under the Contract. Each Bidder shall have a Class A California Contractor's license.
The Quincy Community Services District reserves the right to accept or reject any/or all bids and to make that award which is in the best interest of the Owner.

Bids for roof
All Roofing Contractors:
The Plumas Eureka Community Services District (PECSD) owns a Fire Station at 200 Lundy Lane, in Plumas Eureka Estates near Blairsden. The building has a shake shingle roof that needs to be replaced with roofing composite materials. PECSD would like to have the roof replaced before the weather changes in late 2012.
PECSD is requesting bids from licensed roofing contractors that can provide the replacement services. This would include providing all the necessary plans and specifications to obtain a building permit from the Plumas County Building Department prior to roof replacement. Bids will be received until 3:00pm on May 25, 2012. It is anticipated that the winning bid will be accepted and awarded by the Board of Directors at the June 2012 monthly meeting.
