Two upcoming benefit golf tournaments

The 30th annual Purple Pride Golf Tournament will be held Saturday, Oct. 15, at Plumas Pines Golf Resort, with a shotgun start at 10 a.m.

The tournament is being organized by the Portola Booster Club, which helps fund athletics and academics at Portola High School.

The cost is $100 and includes 18 holes of golf, a cart and a steak dinner. Dinner can be purchased by non-golfers for $25. There will also be a great prize drawing.

Donations and tee sponsors are still needed.

The Greenville High School Booster Club is sponsoring its 11th annual golf tournament at Mt. Huff Golf Course (map) Saturday, Oct. 22, with a tee time of 9:30 a.m.

The cost is $50 for 18 holes of golf and a taco lunch. Prize drawing tickets, contests and drinks will be sold separately.

Donations for the prize drawing will be gladly accepted.
