Tiffany Leonhardt, foundation and marketing manager for Plumas District Hospital and it's nonprofit Plumas Health Care Foundation, reports that PHCF has been recognized as an authorized charity for the 2010 "giving season" by Norcal Combined Federal Campaign. Donations, including workplace payroll deductions made by federal civilian, postal and military employees through Dec. 15, 2010 support eligible non-profits, such as PHCF.

Lots of changes have taken place in the short three years of business for Lake Almanor Fitness Center. General Manager Garn Pringle said the support from the Chester chamber and local residents have made it possible to grow from three to seven employees and increase their hours of operation to 15 hours per day.
