Frenchman Lake
Reports have been good all around the lake. Catching limits of rainbow trout, catfish and crawdads. The early morning remains the best time to fish, going deeper as the weather gets warmer throughout the day.
Most fishermen are using nightcrawlers, with a few using flies (black or dark green) or lures (PMK+ blue or yellow).

Lake Davis
As of July 30, the fishing at Lake Davis has slowed down a bit. There is a big presence of weeds floating on the lake, so if you’re trolling, you’re going to fight that a bit. The Dick Nite and #2 sock eye slammer is working best right now. Fly fishing has been slow. If you are planning on shore fishing then I would go out to the point and cast off to the side a bit. It seems to be working better. The lake is currently at 64 percent capacity and the temperature is 74 degrees.

Feather River & Lakes Basin
Feather River: No recent plants and lowering water levels make for challenging fishing.Longer walks from car pullouts to fishing holes can still produce nice natives.Fishing cold water creek inflows good bet.
Gold Lake: Early morning and late afternoon into evening best times.Green wedding rings and copper flashers w/ crawler trolled around cove by Rocky Point and 4x4 campground good area.
Sardine and Packer Lake: Only lakes in Lakes Basin to be recently stocked.Fishing has been marginal to good at best with hot weather.Fishing deeper waters good bet.
