The Feather River College baseball and softball teams each competed in a playoff game Friday afternoon, with the baseball team losing 9-4 to Merced and the softball team losing 4-1 to Sacramento City. The FRC baseball team is playing in the first round of the regionals at home, in a best-of-three series. Game two begins at 11 a.m. Saturday morning, with game three following, if needed.
The Golden Eagles softball team is competing in a super regional tournament in Sacramento, after advancing past the first round of the playoffs last weekend. The super regional is a double-elimination tournament with four teams.
