Firefighters from the Mt. Hough Ranger District will continue prescribed burning on the Meadow Valley project today, May 7. The location is across from Lowell Bader Park in Meadow Valley, between Deanes Valley Rd. FS 24N29 and Massey Creek Rd and near Bucks Lake Rd.. It is anticipated the project will be completed today. Firefighters from the Mt. Hough Ranger District will be conducting a prescribed burn today, Thursday, May 6, in the community of Meadow Valley. The Meadow Valley project, 30-50 acres, is located across from Lowell Bader Park near Bucks Lake Road and between Massey Creek Road and FS Road 24N29.
Residents in Meadow Valley should expect to see smoke today and tomorrow with a likely inversion in the morning. If weather conditions allow, burning will continue tomorrow as well. Quincy residents may see smoke depending on prevailing wind direction.
Air quality will be monitored very closely and is a top priority.
