Sheriff finds suspected meth lab

A Chester man was arrested on several felony counts last week after a search by sheriff’s deputies and detectives revealed firearms, stolen property and a suspected methamphetamine lab.

James Walter Judlin III, 32, is charged with manufacturing of a controlled substance, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of stolen property and committing a felony while out on bail.

Judlin is being held in the Plumas County jail on $500,000 bail.

Deputies served two search warrants in Chester about 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 11.
