Daniel Fred Fodge
On Monday, Jan. 27, 2014, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend passed away.
Daniel Fred Fodge was born on May 10, 1941, to Ruth Champion of Westwood, and Tommy Fodge of Redding.
A man of many passions, Daniel put the love of his family first and foremost in his life. Motor sports, the second greatest passion of his life, gave him a place from which to share his genius with the world. In the world of hot rod vehicles, Daniel was well known and respected for his skill with design and mechanical acuity. Daniel loved fast cars, and at one point managed a Formula 5000 race team. He also built custom kit cars, most notably the Cobra, for clients.
While Daniel lived in Sacramento, he always felt that Westwood was his home and returned every year to attend the annual Westwood High School reunion.
Daniel is survived by his wife Gloria, his daughters Michelle, Heidi and Sarah, his sons Erik and Zach, his brothers Rod Theobald, of Westwood, and Bruce Fodge, of Sacramento. He leaves behind six grandchildren: Dylan Endsley, Veronica Endsley, Ava Endsley, Mary Fodge, Eryn Fodge, and Kyra Fodge.
He is preceeded in death by his mother, Ruth Champion, his father Tommy Fodge, and his brothers Michael Theobald, of Forrest Ranch, and Ronald Theobald, of Westwood.
A celebration of life will be planned at a later date, but as of yet no details have been arranged. He will be greatly missed by all those who have known and loved him.
