The annual holiday potluck lunch and Christmas concert will take place Tuesday, Dec. 17, at noon in the county courthouse.
Marcy DeMartile, elections coordinator and organizer of the potluck, said the event is open to not only county employees and courthouse friends, but to any resident who would like to contribute a dish to the potluck.
“It is in the giving that we receive,” DeMartile said.
This year donations of nonperishable food items and/or new toys for children are being collected in order to bring holiday cheer to those in need.
The potluck is held on the second floor of the courthouse. Visitors are reminded to enter through the Bradley Street doors and be prepared for the security gate: leave pocket knives at home!
In addition to the large variety of good food, holiday spirit and the door-decorating contest, a variety of holiday music will be provided by the High Sierra Community and Youth Orchestra, conducted by Johny McDonald.
Diners are asked to bring an appetizer, salad or entrée to share. Beverages will be provided.
The event is made possible by the Plumas County Employees Association and the Plumas County Management Council.
