Indian valley winners…

Westwood resident Ruth Calderon was the lucky winner of the $200 “Spirit of the Season” gift basket given away at Josh and Bink Huddleston’s Sterling Sage holiday open house.

At Crescent Country, Quincy residents Carolyn Rouse and Linda Westwood, and Sharon Storms of Indian Valley, each won a $50 gift certificate given away by Lisa and Barbara at their 28th annual open house.

Winter menu features prime rib

Terry Moore at the Coyote Bar & Grill tells us he is now serving his winter menu featuring USDA Choice grade prime rib on Friday and Saturday nights. This popular dinner is served in addition to the full winter menu, which includes ribs, fried chicken, gourmet burgers and Mexican specialties. The downtown Blairsden is open Tuesday through Saturday with happy hour from 3 ­– 5 p.m. and dinner from 3 p.m. to closing. Reservations are suggested, especially on prime rib nights: call 836-2002.


New line of woodwick candles

Jason and Elizabeth Smith, owners of Peterson Glass - The Imagination Co., have expanded their showroom and added a full line of Woodwick candles. These unique candles feature a natural wooden wick that creates the soothing sound of a crackling fire, while fragrancing a room with genuine, true-to-life scents. Located at 419 Peninsula Drive in Lake Almanor, they are also a full-service glass company dealing in residential, commercial and auto glass.


Acutonics and ear candling

Nancy Presser, owner of Sacred Space Energetic Healing Arts, celebrates her third anniversary in Greenville with the addition of some new services. Located next to Anna’s Cafe, Nancy offers a variety of therapeutic massage techniques for both relaxation and pain reduction. She recently added Acutonics, a sound therapy that simulates an acupuncture treatment using sound vibration instead of needles. She also now does ear candling, an ancient noninvasive process that clears the ears of wax buildup, debris and bacteria for improved hearing and balance.

Wendy Bohl and her staff at Serenity Hair and Nail Spa in Chester welcome nail technician Gabrielle Bondon to the team. Gabrielle provides pedicures and manicures for men and women, offering acrylic and gel enhancements and gel polish.
