“Don’t miss an evening at the Town Hall Theatre with the hugely entertaining Antsy McClain and the Trailer Park Troubadours,” said Roxanne Valladao, Plumas Arts director. “Plumas Arts is proud to present this rollicking performance Thursday, July 25, show time at 8 p.m.”

Those who haven’t seen Antsy and the Troubadours live in concert are in for a real treat, according to Valladao. A reviewer from The Union in Grass Valley says, “Their shows combine great comedy and superb musicianship. Audience members clapped, pounded their feet, howled and egged the Troubadours on with shouts of ‘amen’ and whistles … trailer park-themed songs about life, love and loss; poetry readings and a fair share of aerobic dancing.”

Antsy McClain’s evocative lyrics tell the stories of trailer park life, drawn from his own childhood surroundings, of mosquito bites, corn dogs and primer gray Impalas.

“With musical influences ranging from Woody Guthrie to Waylon Jennings to Van Halen to Cake, one can’t help but be intrigued by their lively, colorful songs of life in America’s most forgotten neighborhood — the trailer park,” writes The Desert Advocate, Phoenix, Ariz.

“With song titles like ‘It Ain’t Home Til You Take the Wheels Off,’ and ‘She Took the Mobile Outta Mobile Home,’ the band will sing about the pleasures and heartaches of American trailer park life.”

You can give a look and listen to Antsy and the Troubadours on his website at unhitched.com.
