Celebrations and July 4 are just around the corner. Here is the great line-up for the weekend we have in Eastern Plumas area:
The 41st annual 2013 Mohawk Valley Independence Day celebration honoring freedom with the theme “Freedom — A Gift Earned With Pride.” Plan ahead for this family-friendly event by marking your calendar for the yearly hometown celebration that only Graeagle can offer. From family-friendly dancing, an aerial fireworks display over Graeagle Mill Pond, and the spectacular MVID Parade/Day in the Park events, Graeagle is the place to be on Fourth of July weekend. Call the Chamber at 530-836-6811 for all information and application forms for the Patriot 16 Bike Ride and the Annual Parade.
Friday, July 5.
From 6 - 11 pm Graeagle Lions Club Street Dance at the Barn. Music at 7 p.m, by Antique Rockers. Corner Barn in Blairsden.
Saturday, July 6.
Hourly Old West gun battles by the Nevada Gunfighters in Graeagle Park.
4 – 6 p.m., music in the park. Nevada County Concert Band (Graeagle Park)
4 – 9 p.m. pre–fireworks at the Graeagle Mill Pond. Food and refreshments by the Calpine Elks; cotton candy courtesy of the Lady Elks.
6 - 9 p.m. music at the Mill Pond.
At dusk, 9:30 p.m., aerial fireworks display at the Graeagle Mill Pond.
Sunday - July 7
8 a.m. The Patriot 16 Bike Ride. Starts at Howling Dog Bike Shop in Graeagle. Call the chamber for application form.
8 –11 a.m. fire department’s pancake breakfast at the Graeagle firehall.
Hourly Old West Gun Battles by the Nevada Gunfighters at Graeagle Park.
10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Old Fashioned Day In The Park.
10:30 a.m. Blue Grass Music By Westwind in Graeagle Park.
1 – 2 p.m. 41st Annual Parade Downtown Graeagle.
After Parade Band Concert Ophir Prison Band in Graeagle Park.
After Parade Blue Grass Music By Westwind in Graeagle Park.
