Nathan Randolph Ramirez was pronounced dead at 5:33 p.m., according to the Plumas County sheriff.

The sheriff’s office was notified about 4:39 p.m. that Ramirez was reported missing.

He was about 100 yards from shore at the Bucks Lake 4H camp near Haskins Campground when he disappeared.

Quincy resident Rod Powell, who was boating in the area, went into the water and located the victim. He pulled the man out of the lake and reportedly performed CPR for nearly 20 minutes.
