Graeagle Men’s Golf Association
Monday Madness was true Madness on Monday, April 21. There were 40 players making up 10 four-person teams made up of either all men or men and women combined. The three winning teams each had women on the teams. The format was “In the Box.” Unlike the normal In the Box, this time each person was in the box on every fourth hole, not just on the par fives. In addition, the best net ball of the remaining three players was added to the net score of the person in the box. It made for some interesting scoring. Of particular note was the play of Jim Adams, who shot a gross 69 to help his team into second place. The winners were the team of Chuck and Cathie Franck/Norm and Carol Miller with a combined score of 116 - 28 under par. Second place was claimed by the team of Dan and Holly Anderson/Jim Adams and Gary Kinkley with a score of 118. Third place went to Annie Fisher and Tom Balestri/Gary Reed and Mike Simpson who had a score of 124.
