Feather Publishing spoke to the Redding Police Department by telephone late Saturday afternoon and asked them to confirm a rumor that someone from their office had spoken to Helen "Missie" Dillon on the telephone.

A return phone call to Feather Publishing from Sergeant Langley at the Redding PD confirmed that someone had called their office on Friday and gave them a contact number for Missie. Upon calling that number, the female they spoke to claimed she was Helen Dillon. They asked the person on the phone to come in person to any local Redding police station, but as of Saturday afternoon she has not been seen.
Until they can confirm the female they spoke to was indeed Helen Dillon, she is still officially listed as a missing person by the Redding Police Department. The Plumas County Sheriff is asking anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Helen "Missie" Dillon to call 530-283-6300 or the Redding Police Dept. at 530-225-4200.
