75 YEARS AGO..........1938

    John Redstreake won the old time snowboard race at Johnsville last Sunday. The meet, postponed twice before because of inclement weather conditions, attracted a crowd of 500 persons. The state traffic control counted 204 automobiles going to the snow area through Mohawk Sunday.

50 YEARS AGO..........1963

    The Plumas County Board of Supervisors approved three more subdivisions in Plumas County: a development near Crescent Mills, another at Delleker near Portola and Graeagle Subdivision #3.

25 YEARS AGO..........1988

    Clio resident George Holloway picked 5 of the 6 California  Lotto jackpot numbers last Saturday, winning $216,000 after taxes, having bought the ticket at the Graeagle Store.

10 YEARS AGO..........2003

    Big boom turns into a big bust as the detonation cord used in an effort to hopefully kill spawning Northern Pike in Lake Davis only killed four pike.

    The Plumas County Board of Supervisors hired Tri-B Inc. of Truckee for $315,000 to oversee the construction of the new courthouse annex to be built near Feather River College in Quincy.
