The American Legion Auxiliary’s annual Easter egg hunt will be held at the old Quincy racetrack located west of Quincy High School this weekend where 60 dozen eggs will be hidden.
A charter granted by Rotary International will be presented to the newly formed Portola Rotary Club at ceremonies held Saturday night.

More than 100 people turned out for a rally at the Plumas County courthouse in Quincy to show their support of those involved in the Iraq war. In addition, this newspaper included a two page “Support Our Troops” American paper flag in this week’s county-wide newspapers for citizens and businesses to display.
