Notice of Decision
As the Responsible Official, District Ranger Deb Bumpus signed a Decision Memo on February 28, 2013 approving the Conklin Park Wildlife Burn Project. This project will consist of approximately 320 acres of burning with some mastication or grapple piling in a few plantations prior to burning in the Conklin Park Area on the Beckwourth Ranger District, Plumas National Forest.
The project is located approximately 14 miles north of Beckwourth, California, and about 10 miles south-southwest of Milford, California. Burn activities would occur within all or portions of T25N, R14E, Sections 1, 11 12, and 14, Mt. Diablo Base Meridian.

Notice is given that Negative Declaration #2013-1 has determined that this project will not have a significant effect on the environment.  The project is located along County Road A15 from Colorado Street to Commercial Street.  The Negative Declaration is proposed to be adopted.
An Initial Study and Proposed Negative Declaration are available for public inspection and review at the Office of the City Clerk, City Hall, Portola, California.  The review period for this document is from March 6, 2013, to April 5, 2013.  Written comments concerning this document will be accepted through the last day of the review period, and may be mailed to the City of Portola, P.O.
