Mt. Huff Golf Course
What great golf weather! Not too hot, not too cool — a real Goldilocks day! You couldn't ask for better at the Oct. 10 Wednesday Morning Scramble at Mt. Huff Golf Course.
And the golfers were in top form! The first place team consisted of members Loren Lindner, Bill McRoberts and Mike Ingle at 4 under.
An incredible three teams held the second place at even par.
In second place was the team of Darel Joseph, Barbara Quam and Dick Grace; the team of Roy Christensen, John Hackett and Jim Bryant;and the team of Jerry Quam, Margie Joseph and Ralph Cote.
Closest-to-the-pin title was taken by Margie Joseph, while another three-pete chip-in gave honors to John Hackett, Ralph Cote and Bill McRoberts.
What an interesting day!
Graeagle Meadows Women’s Golf Club
This week the Graeagle Meadows Women’s Golf Club played a four-person team game of Modified Par Points.Players received one point for a net par, two points for a net birdie and three points for a net eagle.The team winning first place was Barbara Crist, Lorraine Cornish, Carol Miller and Annie Fischer.There was a tie for second place for the teams of Jacquie McMaster, Gail Nelson, Renee Gielow and Donna Swanson, and Priscilla Piper, Debbie Peterson, Wanda Wideriksen and Esther Rimbault.
On Wednesday, Oct. 10, members held their annual Awards Luncheon at Cuccia’s. Awards were given for the Club Championship, Captain’s Cup, Ace of Aces and Spring and Summer Ec competitions.Sue Taylor received an award for the Most Improved Golfer.The event was a delightful way to end the season.
