Brandan Scott Couch (Powers)
Quincy resident Brandan Scott Couch passed from this life unexpectedly Sunday morning, Nov. 2, 2014, at the age of 34.
Born in Susanville on March 1, 1980, to California natives Donald Gorbet and Cynthia Couch, Brandan was raised and educated in both Greenville and Quincy. Brandan is a 1998 graduate of Greenville High School. He went on to continue his education in community college.
Following his graduation, Brandan went to work as a line and short order cook, working at the former Perko’s of Quincy, Morning Thunder Restaurant and Oakland Camp amongst others. Looking to start another career, Brandan just recently graduated from Barber College in Chico.
Brandan was a longtime and active member of the Las Plumas Del Oro Chapter of E. Clampus Vitus, Chapter 8.
In passing Brandan leaves his two sons Chandler and Terrance Couch, both of Roseville; mother, Cynthia Couch-Samra, of Quincy; father Donald Gorbet, of Susanville; grandparent Jeanette Couch, of Greenville; brother Shaine Powers, of Arizona; sister Amber Couch-Powers, of Janesville; nieces Hazel Powers and Averi Puccinelli and nephews Andrew Puccinelli, Anson and Cardden Powers.
A celebration of Brandan’s life is planned for 2 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 8, 2014, at the Fehrman Mortuary Chapel
