Bids for carport demolition
INVITATION TO BID
Notice is here given that Seneca Healthcare District, referred to as the Owner, will receive sealed proposals for the furnishing of all labor, materials, transportation, equipment and services necessary for the complete demolition of the "Carport Demolition Project". Bids will be received at the Administrator's Office, Seneca Healthcare District, 130 Brentwood Drive, Chester, CA 96020, until 2:00 PM. on Thursday, May 02, 2013. Bid opening will take place at the Seneca Healthcare District Hospital, 130 Brentwood Drive, Chester, CA. Only the Board of Directors of Seneca Healthcare District has the authority to award the contract to the lowest responsible responsive bidder meeting the bid specifications or reject all bids. Seneca Healthcare District Administration will present the bid tabulations to the Board of Directors at a specially scheduled meeting after bid opening.
The project consists of the removal and disposal of the existing Carport/Emergency Department Covered Entry per the OSHPD approved plans. Work includes replacing ceiling mounted lighting fixtures with wall mounted fixtures and the removal and capping of the sprinkler branch line serving the carport structure. Prospective contractors are to include experienced OSHPD-1 electricians and an experienced OSHPD-1 licensed sprinkler contractor. Work will be fully OSHPD compliant per the attached plans.
A pre-bid meeting will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, April 22, 2013 at the job site. All interested Bidders are mandated to attend the meeting. All discussions during the pre-bid meeting will be part of the construction responsibilities of the awarded contractor.
This project is anticipated to start approximately, Monday, May 27, 2013, and is anticipated to have duration of thirty (30) consecutive calendar days for completion.
The low bidder shall be determined on the lowest responsible, responsive base bid using the standard bid format. No bid will be considered unless it is made on the form provided by the Architect and accompanied by Money Order or Bidder's Bond from a surety company registered with the State of California Insurance Commissioner, for 10% of the amount of the bid, made payable to the Owner. Such money order or bid bond shall be given as a guarantee that the bidder will execute the Contract, if it be awarded to him, in conformity with the Contract Documents.
Bids shall not expire for a period of sixty (60) days after the scheduled closing time set for receipt of bids. The Contractor awarded the project will be required to provide 100% Payment Bond and 100% Performance Bond. Contractor shall posses a valid Class A-General Engineering Contractor or Class B - General Building Contractor license issued by the California's Contractors State Licensing Board.
