Plumas Schools will start on time Wednesday

Feather Publishing just received word from the bus barn at the Plumas Unified School District that all schools including Quincy, Greenville, Chester and Portola will start on time this morning.
Buses in Chester and some in the Portola area will be chained up and running at the maximum of 35 MPH allowed on the highways under chain restrictions. Students in those areas may notice small delays.
As of 6:00 a.m. only the Chester area was under R1 Chain restrictions where chains are required on all commercial vehicles (trucks or buses). All other vehicles (cars, pick-ups, vans, etc.) must have either snow tread tires or chains on the drive axle.
Current chain controls for Plumas County can be viewed here.
