Travel management decision announced

Plumas National Forest officials have completed the Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS) and Record of Decision (ROD) for the Forest Service’s Motorized Travel Management Project (Subpart B).

The effort focused on the growing number of routes that are not part of the authorized national forest transportation system (routes with numbers) throughout the forest and made a decision on which of those unauthorized routes should be added to the system.

 

Indian Valley Hospital reuse study is complete

The reuse study for the old Indian Valley Hospital building has been completed and is ready for review.

Indian Valley Health Care District Chairman Guy McNett will make sure there is a copy for the public to view at the Greenville Branch Library.

 

Hooked up yet? Meeting flush with sewer issues

What will happen to property owners who have not yet hooked up to the 1998 sewer extension, as required?

That is one of the sewer issues up for discussion and action Wednesday, Nov. 10, at 6:30 p.m. in the Indian Valley Civic Center at 430 Main St. in Greenville.

 

Residents unhappy with transfer station closure

Several Graeagle residents voiced their displeasure about the impending closure of their local transfer site during the public comment section of the Board of Supervisors Tuesday, Nov. 2, meeting.

They were upset with the decision; the way it was made; and the fact that it wasn’t on the board’s agenda when the motion was made.

 

Plumas County files suit against District Attorney

The County of Plumas filed suit yesterday in Plumas County Superior Court against District Attorney Jeff Cunan, alleging Cunan improperly handled funds from the bad check diversion program.
