A 34-year-old Chester man is being held on $100,000 bail in the Plumas County Jail after being arrested on multiple sex-related charges, including sexual assault of a child under the age of 14.

Robert Wilson Neal Jr. was arrested Monday at 10:15 p.m. at a Chester residence by sheriff’s deputies.

Wilson was also charged with penetration with a foreign object, assault to commit rape, oral copulation with a person under 18 years of age, rape by force of fear, lewd and lascivious acts with a child under 14 years of age, and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

According to the sheriff’s report, the department received a call Saturday alleging a sexual assault of a child under 14.

After an investigation by deputies and sheriffs detectives, Neal was arrested at 258 Laurel Lane #1, in Chester.

Neal was transported to the Plumas County Jail where he was booked.
