Plumas County will see its fair share of tired visitors this summer now that the inaugural Sierra Nevada Relay is set to take place Aug. 24 – 25.
Teams of four to 10 will compete in a 175-mile course that goes from Donner Pass to Lassen Volcanic National Park.
Runners will pass through a variety of terrain as they make their way over mountains, through valleys and towns, and around lakes and rivers. The course goes through Tahoe, Plumas and Lassen National Forests.
