New Owners at Moon's
Lisa and Michael Kelly are the new owners of Moon’s restaurant in Quincy. Lisa has a master’s degree in hotel and restaurant management and worked at several restaurants in Southern California. She is also active with the equine-guided leadership programs at Greenhorn Creek Guest Ranch and with her photography business, Sierra Moon Photography. Michael, a general contractor, owns and operates Sierra Moon Enterprises. The have five children ranging in age from 23 to 15. Since opening a couple of weeks ago, they have been surveying their customers and will be making changes to their menu based on many of the suggestions. Michael Henry has joined Plumas Bank as vice president, administrative group manager. Kerry Wilson, senior vice president, credit administrator said Michael will be responsible for general credit administration duties. That includes updating and maintaining credit policies, helping structure and review loans and managing various loan departments within the bank.
Michael has 10 years of banking experience, most recently as vice president, commercial portfolio review team leader at a bank in Phoenix, Ariz. He holds a master’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in finance and a Bachelor of Science degree in sociology. He and his family relocated from Mesa, Ariz., to Quincy and are very eager to be involved in the community.

Carole Bensen has recently joined the sales team at Coldwell Banker Chandler Real Estate in Portola. She has been an Eastern Plumas County resident for 15 years. Carole will be working with her daughter, Laura Biggs, who has been with Coldwell Banker for the past 12 years. Carole also holds a real estate license in Arizona and is a member of the local, state and national Association of Realtors.

Donnell’s MusicLand and Mountain Circle Foster Family Agency are pleased to announce the beginning of the Gift of Music, a program to bring music and music education to local residents of Greenville and the Indian Valley. The first event of 2012 will be a picnic concert Saturday evening, June 23, from 6 to 8 p.m. featuring Chico’s well-known troubadour vocalist and guitarist, Steve Johnson. Basic picnic supplies, hot dogs, condiments, a turkey from Evergreen Market, tortilla chips and non-alcoholic beverages will be supplied at no cost. Those attending are encouraged to bring a potluck dish to share, plus any personal beverage they desire.
