Most PUSD schools on two hour delayed start, but Chester on schedule

Portola, Quincy and Greenville schools are on a two hour delayed start

Chester schools open and on normal schedule

2/29/2012 - 5:45 a.m.

The bus barn at Plumas Unified School District called to inform Feather Publishing that all PUSD schools in Portola, Quincy and Greenville areas will have a two hour delayed start Wednesday, Feb. 29, 2012 due to R2 chain requirements in all areas. School starts at 10:10 a.m. and dismisses at the regular time in the afternoon. All morning bus pick up times will be two hours later.

However, schools in Chester are open and starting on time, but buses will be running slow due to the maximum of 35 MPH allowed on the highways while running chains.

The roads are very slick this morning and everyone is encouraged to be extra cautious.
