National Weather Service has issued a "WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 10 PM THIS EVENING TO 10 PM PST WEDNESDAY"

Plumas County Road Department will not be maintaining roads that are normally closed during the Winter if this Winter Storm produces the predicted "TUESDAY NIGHT....SNOW ACCUMULATION OF 5 TO 8 INCHES LOWER ELEVATIONS...8 TO 14 INCHES HIGHER ELEVATIONS." and "WEDNESDAY...SNOW IN THE MORNING.....SNOW ACCUMULATION OF 6 TO 11 INCHES."

Thus, Plumas County roads which have slowly opened because of a lack of snow may close at any time due to the predicted winter storm.
