“Save our teachers”

Feather Publishing students
2/24/2012

Quincy High School students walk back to their campus Friday afternoon after demonstrating in front of the Plumas Unified School District office. Clapping and chanting “Save our teachers,” most of the school’s student body showed up to protest the school board’s unanimous decision to eliminate 32.5 full-time teaching positions during its Wednesday-night meeting. What does it take to unite (nearly) an entire student body? The school board's decision to lay off over 32 positions. There are no easy answers, but I applaud QHS for taking a stand and supporting the teachers. Well done!
