Plumas County Museum to stay open Sundays in October

Feather Publishing
10/7/2011

The Plumas County Museum will be open Sundays in October from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in conjunction with the Plumas County Visitors Bureau fall foliage promotion.

The museum, which was also open Sundays in October last year, saw 114 visitors through its doors on those days alone. As one of only a couple of places open in Quincy on Saturdays and Sundays, the museum is a welcome stop for visitors to the county.

This summer the museum had many international and out-of-state visitors, as well as a record number of researchers who have come to utilize the museum’s well-known archival library and research center. Museum staff and volunteers assist them not only in their research, but in finding restaurants, lodging and other amenities.

Depending on fall color and weather conditions, the museum may also stay open for a few Sundays in November. Call 283-6320 for more information or email pcmuseum@digitalpath.net.
