League hosts host of forums

The League of Women Voters of Plumas County will host several forums for residents to learn more about the candidates and propositions on the November ballot.
The last day to register for the general election is Oct. 18.
Plumas County Board of Supervisors, District 5: Blairsden, Sept. 30, 7:30 p.m., Mohawk Community Center
Runoff candidates Jon Kennedy and Richard Lundy will meet and answer questions from local voters.
Pros and Cons — A Study of the Propositions: Quincy, Oct. 5, 7 p.m., Quincy Veterans Hall
Resources for the study come from the California Legislative Analyst’s Office.
City council candidates’ forum: Portola, Oct. 12, 7 p.m., Portola branch library
Incumbents Curt McBride and John Larrieu and challenger Juliana Mark will answer voters’ questions.
House of Representatives, 4th District: Quincy, Oct. 13, 7 p.m., Town Hall Theatre
Candidates Tom McClintock (R-incumbent), Clint Curtis (Democrat) and Ben Emery (Independent) have been invited to address voters’ questions.
