Grandparents include Ken and Laurie (Penland) Goodson, of Medford, and Ted and Beth Studebaker, of Grants Pass. Great-grandparents are Betty and the late Don Penland, of Quincy.

Molly Marie York

Molly Marie York was born to Teri and Jared York of Falls Church, Va., on March 7, 2014, at 5:26 p.m. at Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington, Va.

Molly weighed 8 pounds, 1 ounce and was 21 inches in length.

Maternal grandparents are Steve and Eva Small of Quincy.

Paternal grandparents are Ken and Susan York of Falls Church.

Alessandra Marie Foss

Alessandra Marie Foss was born to Kalah Wann and Eric Foss, of Chester, at 8:35 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2014, at Banner Lassen Medical Center in Susanville.

She weighed 7 pounds, 2 ounces and was 21 inches long.

Maternal grandparents are Julie and Rick Wann, of Lake Almanor.

Paternal grandparents are Ellen and Gary Foss, of Chester.

Maternal great-grandparents are Rita Little, of Lake Almanor, Judy Adamson, of Chico, and Barbara and Richard Wann, of Lake Almanor.

Paternal great-grandparent is Mary Salbeck, of Livermore.

 

Layla Rose Openshaw

Layla Rose Openshaw was born to Michelle Moore and Cody Openshaw, of Quincy, on March 17, 2014, at 9:42 p.m. at Plumas District Hospital in Quincy. Layla weighed 7 pounds, 1 ounce, and was 18 inches in length.

Maternal grandparents are Linda and Joseph Moore, of Quincy.

Paternal grandparents are Barbara and Neil Burge, of Quincy, and the late Stanley Miles Openshaw.

Great-grandparents are Harriet and Robert, of Atwater.

Layla is also welcomed by siblings Zachary, 4, and Quinton, 3.

  Elise Lillian Miller was born to Tasha and Joshua Miller, of Quincy, on Feb. 24, 2014, at 10:40 p.m. at Plumas District Hospital in Quincy. Elise weighed 8 pounds and 11 ounces, and was 20 inches in length.

  Maternal grandmother is Anna Crank, of Redding.

  Paternal grandparents are Karen Shaver, of Quincy, and Jeffery Miller, of Redding.

  Great-grandmother is Marilyn Brodie, of Canandaigua, N.Y.

Avary Jinelle Morrison

  Avary Jinelle Morrison was born to Kristen and Jesse Morrison, of Quincy, on March 1, 2014, at 6:07 p.m. at Plumas District Hospital in Quincy. Avary weighed 6 pounds and 11 ounces, and was 20 inches in length.

  Maternal grandmother is Cheryl Young, of Sacramento.

  Paternal grandparents are Howard and Judy Morrison, of Big Fork, Mont.

  Great-grandparents are Dee and Tina Lake, of Brookings, Ore., Wayne and Liz Young, of Grass Valley, and Richard Bell, of San Diego.

Michael Wallace Nyberg
    Michael Wallace Nyberg was born to Jessica Chittenden and Gregory Nyberg, of Portola, on Feb. 22, 2014, at 2:46 p.m. at Plumas District Hospital in Quincy. Michael weighed 8 pounds, 1 ounce and was 20.25 inches in length.
    Maternal grandparents are Angela Banks, of Loleta, and Michael Chittenden, of Phoenix, Ariz.
    Paternal grandparents are Dianne Nyberg, of Portola, and Wallace Nyberg, of Sacramento.
    Michael is also welcomed by sister Dakota Nyberg, 4, and brother Ethan Nyberg, 17.


Luke Leonard Hays
    Luke Leonard Hays was born to Sarah Rose-Hays and Roland Hays, of Meadow Valley, on Feb. 11, 2014, at 8:44 a.m. at Plumas District Hospital in Quincy. Luke weighed 5 pounds, 0 ounce and was 18.5 inches in length.
    Maternal grandparents are Arney and Shelly Pinelli, of Quincy, and Scott Rose, of Portola.
    Paternal grandparents are Rusty and Melissa Hays, of Meadow Valley.
    Great-grandparents are Dale Hays Sr., of Meadow Valley, the late Leonard Mosley and DeAnne Mosley, of Quincy, Gene and Georgia Machado, of Arroyo Grande, and Doris Rose, of Surprise, Ariz.
    Great-great-grandmother is Thelma Johnson, of Arroyo Grande.
