After a seven-year absence, Dana Ward and his wife, Louise (not pictured), have again taken over the restaurant at Plumas Pines Resort at Lake Almanor, naming it the Boat House Grill. In addition to burgers, steaks, seafood and prime rib, they will regularly offer specials for both lunch and dinner. Anniversary specials june 6
On Thursday, June 6, Mike and Lisa Kelly are celebrating their first anniversary as owners of Moon’s restaurant on Lawrence Street in Quincy. To note this special occasion they will open at 5 p.m. with a happy hour, samples and special meal deals. It’s their way of saying thanks and to let you know it has “literally been a pleasure serving and really getting know the community and our customers.”
Longtime crafter Carol Hodges has opened Carol’s Quilts and Crafts in Chester at the corner of Pine and Irwin Way. She said this is the perfect place to showcase her assorted handcrafted jewelry and quilted items like wall hangings, quilts, pillows, embroidered pillowcases and embellished hats. grand opening festivities
On June 1, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Suzanne Hamar is having a grand opening for her Greenville business, General Store. Festivities include wooden bear carving demonstrations, yarn spinning, a community swap meet and barbecue. Her store carries something for everyone — hence the name — from antiques, arts and crafts and vintage kitchen ware to brand name work clothes, shoes, sewing supplies and just a lot more.
