Plumas County District One election results

Republican Ted Gains has won the special election to fill the state senate seat left vacant by the death of Dave Cox.  As it turns out, the 65 to 35 margin in Plumas County was close to the district wide margin of 63 to 37 margin in favor of Gains district wide.

Plumas County voters have cast their votes.  Voter turnout was low as would be expected in a special election.  Voters in Plumas County preferred Republican candidate Ted Gains over Democrat candidate Ken Cooley by a margin of 65 percent to 35 percent.
