County officials remind voters that they have until next Tuesday, Dec. 28, to request a vote-by-mail ballot for the Jan. 4 special election to fill Dave Cox's state Senate seat.

The form is also available on the county website, countyofplumas.com. Click on "Department," then "County Clerk-Recorder," then "Elections Division" and finally on "vote-by-mail ballot application."
Voters may also vote at the courthouse, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Regular polling places will not be used for this special consolidated election. Voters should note that the courthouse will be closed Friday, Dec. 31.
Postal officials recommend voters mail their ballots no later than Dec. 31.
Ballots must be received in the elections office by 8 p.m. election day, Tuesday, Jan. 4.
