Veterans Service Officer Sheryl Austin has agreed to postpone her departure to Dec. 15, Plumas County Chief Administrative Officer Jack Ingstad said Wednesday, Nov. 24.
Her last day had been scheduled for Dec. 2.
Richard Turner, who served as VSO before Austin, will return as interim VSO as of Dec. 13. He will help run the office and with the recruitment of a new officer, said Ingstad.
Ingstad said the office would be open five days a week.
