Golf Results for the week of 10/20/10

Whitehawk Ranch Ladies
The Whitehawk Ranch ladies golf club wrapped up the season’s golf events with the final Ace of Aces match, Sept. 28. Ten ladies had qualified to play in the finals, but only five could make it this late in the season.
Our low gross Ace of Aces winner this year is Marcia Zeigler, who shot a round of 80 that day. Our low net Ace of Aces winner was Christy Randall, with a round of 67 to win it.
The winners received various awards, including cash prizes and gift certificates, at our annual luncheon held Oct. 5, at The Lodge at Whitehawk.
Once again, the Lodge put on a first class event, with beautifully decorated tables and a delicious luncheon for the ladies. Our club champion, Marcia Zeigler, and our captain's cup champ, Della Miller, received two beautifully engraved crystal vases.

Cash prizes were also awarded to the runners-up in the gross and net divisions:
Patty McNamara and Denise Stein for second places and Lynn Smith and Diane Romig for third places. Lynn Smith was awarded a pro shop gift certificate for again winning match play, and the runners-up, Patty McNamara and Marcia Zeigler, also received certificates.
One final award went to Marcia Zeigler for once again this year being our most improved player at Whitehawk.
The ladies have only a few more play dates before the Whitehawk golf course closes for this season Sunday, Oct. 24.

Women's Results

The season is coming to an end pretty quickly! Here are our results for the last two weeks. Two more to go!
Tuesday, Oct. 5, the game of the day was “Red & White.” The ladies played nine holes from the red tees and nine holes from the white. The low gross winner was Janet Holladay (who also got the only chip-in!) Low net was awarded to Cathy Cianciolo, and 2nd low net went to Jennifer Zumbro.
The following Tuesday, the game was “Oops” where points are received for those shots we’d rather do over, like bunkers, out-of-bounds and other hazards. Winning first place with a great round was Janet Holladay with “0” oops. Second place went to Renee Walker with “1” and awarded the Perseverance Prize was Mary Peters who had 9.
