The Plumas Eureka State Park Campground is set to re-open for the Labor Day weekend. The campground was closed a few weeks ago so State Park and Public Health officials could control fleas associated with wild rodents. This was necessary to help reduce the risk of plague transmission to humans. State Public Health officials report the flea control efforts were successful, and the campground is now open. For more information, contact Plumas Eureka State Park at 836-2380.
