Whitehawk Ranch Ladies Golf Club

The Whitehawk ladies played a game of "F's" & "T's" the other day. It meant that only holes starting with the letter "F" or "T" counted toward the game, which left only nine holes that really mattered... the first, third, fourth, fifth, tenth, twelfth, thirteenth, fourteenth and fifteenth holes.

With only 50 percent of their handicap being used these were the winners: First place went to Lynn Smith with a net 36; Second place was won in a card playoff by Virginia Luhring who tied at a net 39 with Laurie McKenzie who then took third place; and fourth place was won by Christy Randall with a net 41.

The next big event for the Whitehawk ladies is their "Rhinestone Cowgirl Classic" Invitational, being played on Tuesday, August 24 - Yee-ha!!!

Mt. Huff

It was an eerie Friday the 13th, when Trevor Standridge of Roseville, showed his seven buddies how to golf. On #8 he sunk the ball for a hole in one, the whoops and shouts could be heard for miles.

A little less exciting but just as much fun was our Thursday night scramble of Aug. 19. We had 40 players, a full ten teams. JoJoe Guereque drove the green on #7 for longest drive and Gary McClellan was closest to the pin.

After two chip-offs between first thru third place, the team of Gary Metzdorf, Tom Gossett, Don Sheffield and Ralph Cote' took first place, Gary Hughs, Shane Frank, David Smuts and Jeff Smith took second and Steve Ross, Bob Clark, Ron Roath and Bob McIlroy came in third.

Play was fast and furious and everyone had a super time. Hope to see you out here soon.

Our famous and fun BIG 6 tournament is coming up on Sept. 12, it is a lot of fun.
