Breaking NewsAlicia Knadler

Indian Valley Health Care District directors will discuss retaining a specifically named attorney to counsel them in the process of a surplus declaration and sale of the hospital building and adjoining property.

The announcement of their plans to discuss this at their Monday, June 7 meeting was not made until after press time for the Wednesday, June 2 issue, so more information for readers will be available online at plumasnews.com, and in the Wednesday, June 16 issue of the Indian Valley Record.

The meeting will be at 5:30 p.m., in the Indian Valley Civic Center, located at 430 Main Street in Greenville.

Craig Cannizzo, a San Francisco partner with the California and Washington DC based firm Hooper, Lundy, & Bookman, is the attorney specifically named for retainment.

Other topics on the agenda include correspondence about geothermal interest, draft reuse study input, replacement of the sewer lateral for the clinic and other items.

Barring special meetings, directors of the Indian Valley Health Care District meet quarterly, the first Mondays of June, September, December and March.
