Quincy Overcomes Loyalton

    The Quincy High School boys’ basketball team earned a big win at home against Loyalton Feb. 11, when the Trojans defeated the Grizzlies 48-40.

    After the first quarter ended in a 10-10 tie, Quincy went into halftime with a 23-21 advantage. 

   The Trojans continued to slowly pull away through the second half, outscoring Loyalton by three points in each of the third and fourth quarters.

    Cody Cline had a huge night for Quincy with 25 points, 17 rebounds, three blocks and four steals.

    Keshawn Johnson added seven points, and Andrew Murphy delivered four assists.

    The win moved Quincy to 3-4 in the Feather River League, half a game behind Loyalton.
