Plumas County sheriffís deputies and investigators responding to claims by High Desert State Prison correctional officer Todd Posch that he was the victim of a hit-in-run in front of his residence in Greenville Wednesday morning determined "Poschís allegations were false and fabricated" according to a press release signed by Sheriff Greg Hagwood.
The document also indicated "further investigation revealed that the early morning attack on Posch at the Highway 147 rest stop in March of 2009 proved to be fabricated by Posch as well."
The release described Poschís injuries in both circumstances were self-inflicted.
