Quincy, Portola and Taylorsville Elem. schools open, others closed

Feather Publishing

1/22/2010 - 6:00 a.m.

Quincy, Portola and Taylorsville Elementary schools are open this morning, however Chester and Greenville schools will remain closed for Friday due to power outages. The schools that are open are running on their normal schedule.

Heavy snow fell in most areas of Plumas County overnight and buses will be chained up and running at the maximum of 35 MPH allowed on the highways under chain restrictions. Students in those areas may notice small delays due to the reduced speeds.

Current chain controls for Plumas County can be viewed here.
