PG&E now predicts it will be 9:00 p.m. before power is restored to Chester.

A downed power line to a transformer has knocked out power in the community of Chester. According to PG&E supervisor Kevin McCallam, the cause of the downed line is not known. As of 11:00 a.m, he estimates the repair will take approximately four hours.
The west shore of Lake Almanor is also without power due to a downed power line in the Prattville area. Repairs for this line are expected to take about two hours.
