The Northeastern California chapter of the American Red Cross will be giving a new volunteer orientation, disaster services overview, sheltering and disaster action team training in Quincy. It will be conducted Nov. 4 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Plumas County Library community room at 500 Jackson St.
Attendees should bring a lunch. The training is free.
All adults interested in learning about services for the Quincy, Canyon and Portola areas are invited to attend. Volunteers are needed in these areas.
